Stay out!
I was flipping through the channels today, after waking up. I stopped on one of the cable news networks. There was a debate going on between a Strip Club owner and some Preacher. To look at the two of them you would have thought that the roles were reversed. I say this because the Preacher looked like a rock star and the Owner looked like a conservative politician.
Apparently a law was recently passed where ever these two are from. This law limited what happened within the confines of this ADULT establishment. The girls would now have to wear some sort of bikini bottom, and what sounded like Saran wrap across the chest. There was also a stipulation that the dancer has to stay at least 4-5' away from the patron. The Preacher of course figured that this wasn't enough.
Here is my problem.........
The club is where Adults go for entertainment. They want to look at pretty women in the buff. These establishments, as far as I know do not have naked women in the parking lot. Instead the women are inside a darkened club with no windows. So the argument that some would use that they are 'Saving the Children' from this filth is void. The same holds true for Adult Bookstores.
Why is it that some people obsess over what others do behind closed doors? Why is it their business in the first place? Who cares? I don't. In fact I haven't been in a Titty Bar in well over a decade. I never really liked them, it just wasn't my thing. If you want to cure someone from patronizing these joints, just show them the HBO show called G-String Divas.
That show gave you a behind the scenes look at the mind set of the Dancers. It wasn't pretty and you were able to watch the dancers manipulate the men out of their hard earned cash. Like I said, not my cup of tea.
I get angry when politicians that claim to stand for small government, and regulation only apply those rules for business. I hate the fact that those same politicians that hate regulation just have to regulate what happens between consenting adults, behind closed doors.
If someone kills, rapes, or steals arrest and convict the guilty party. There is no reason to wasted time or money going after the very same establishments they themselves patronize....in a different town.
